Your Role

As our Regulatory Policy Analyst, you will be instrumental in internal discussions regarding our client’s electric markets, supporting policy and tariff drafting from a regulatory perspective. You will also engage with multiple task forces, working groups, and committees as part of our stakeholder process. This role is central to collaboration, building relationships, and providing critical input, information, and coordination.

Elevator Pitch: This position is uniquely positioned within our client’s organization, supporting almost every business unit and actively participating in numerous stakeholder groups as well as with state and federal regulatory bodies. With many new and exciting electric market changes on the horizon, you will play a key role in navigating these developments. To be successful as the Regulatory Policy Analyst III, Senior, or Lead, we're looking for:

  • Degree in engineering, accounting, economics, or another relevant field of study
  • Lead: Eight (8) years of experience in electric utility rate or electric regulatory operations or electric market operations (in excess of degree requirements above)
  • Senior: Six (6) years of experience in electric utility rate or electric regulatory operations or electric market operations (in excess of degree requirements above)
  • Level III: Four (4) years of job-related work experience, including utility rate and regulatory operations, process management, or project analysis and management
  • Knowledge of electric utility regulatory policies and practices, electric utility market operations, including market monitoring, generally accepted ratemaking, cost allocation and pricing principles, resource planning, policies, and procedures of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and state regulatory commissions
  • Knowledge of computer business applications and database management systems
  • Ability to maintain excellent working relationships with all parties to ensure the accomplishment of our client's mission
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, state and federal regulators, our client’s legal advisors, engineers, economists, accountants, management, and senior management
  • Excellent communication, both written and oral, for responding to requests, presenting analysis, coordinating actions, providing guidance, and presenting information. Circumstances will often require balancing opposing points of view and providing independent facilitation and guidance to reach reasonable consensus or understanding

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Working extended hours may be required.

Work Location:

This is a hybrid (3 days in office) position located in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Travel Requirement

This position requires minimal travel (approximately 0-15%).
